AARTO training programmes

Our accredited facilitated one-day in-person workshop or accredited facilitated half-day online presentation is designed to provide comprehensive insights into the AARTO Act and its implications.

We provide dedicated training focusing on:

• Drivers / employees:
Practical training to help drivers understand the AARTO system, the demerit point schedule, their responsibilities, and how their driving behaviour may impact their employment and the company. This focuses on awareness, accountability, and proactive compliance.

• Human Resources:
Guidance on the implications of licence suspension or cancellation, including internal processes to follow when an employee is no longer legally permitted to perform driving-related duties. This includes disciplinary considerations, policy updates, and compliance procedures.

• Administrative / Fleet Management Staff:
Training for the appointed company representative who will act as custodian of all organisational vehicles and appointment of proxy and representative for every branch. This includes instruction on verifying and monitoring demerit points, accessing and managing the AARTO online system, ensuring proper record-keeping, and maintaining compliance with corporate responsibilities.

4. The Points-Demerit System: Applying the points-demerit system

5. Business Vehicles: Evaluating regulations surrounding business vehicles

Implications for fleet owners, drivers, operators.
