Our Team

Our team includes Mr. Schoeman and Dr. Kockott who both have been involved with the training manual for AARTO since its inception and they were also mandated to update the AARTO manual for Road Traffic Management Corporation twice.

Mr. Schoeman and Dr. Kockott are the co-authors of the following textbooks:

GFF Schoeman

BA (Law) LLB (University of Pretoria)

He is an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa and has extensive experience and knowledge as an attorney and lecturer at the University and has been involved with the AARTO process for several years, culminating in him being co-author of a textbook regarding AARTO. He lectured Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Law of Evidence and Selective Traffic Law which includes the provisions of the National Road Traffic Act and AARTO Act. He is also the author / co-author of the following textbooks:

Dr SR Kockott

D-Tech Policing (Tshwane University of Technology, South Africa)

He has proven technical knowledge in Road Traffic Safety Management, Road Safety Audits and Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment. He published the Road Safety Audits for the Road Safety Professional. He has worked in Law Enforcement Tshwane Metro Police for 17 years. He is a senior lecturer at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) and responsible for the traffic safety and metro police management programme, including the provisions of the AARTO Act.  

He is also the author of the following textbook :

Road Traffic Safety, Theory and Practice, 2024, Claremont Cape Town Juta.
